OSU's Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center (NSEC) is funded by the National Science Foundation, which also funds the
Research Experience for Undergraduates summer internship program.
Each summer, nearly 20 students from all over the country come to work in our laboratories alongside graduate students and faculty members. They have the opportunity to help with current research, learn how to write a technical paper, present their findings in a poster session and interact with other students with similar interests.
Many previous REU students have reported that participating in the summer program helped them get into grad school or land a longer internship position in industry. It's an opportunity that can open doors.
